I am having trouble with installing. I have the latest version of WP, BuddyPress Template Pack installed and activated, and BuddyPress installed and activated.

The trouble I have is that when I activate BuddyPress Template pack, and it says it is going to walk me through the steps/compatability, it gets stuck at the step where it says that I have to manually upload to …/bp-themes. It seems it can’t move templates to the theme folder. So when I actually examine my file structure, via FTP, I look in wp-config and there is bp-themes folder to be found. So I can’t complete this step. I’ve looked everywhere for bp-themes (I do see the default BP theme installed when I choose “themes” from the dashboard).

Specifically, the message I get is: You have activated the BuddyPress Template Pack, but you haven’t completed the setup process. Visit the BP Compatibility page to wrap up. When that doesn’t work automatically, it says I have to locate the following which does not exist:

You will need to connect to your WordPress files using FTP. When you are connected browse to the following directory:

    /home/healthyw/public_html/homewoodconnect.com/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/

Any thoughts on what is going on and how I properly finalize this installation?

    Thank you.

Should be in your buddypress plugin’s folder.

This means that for some reason, you server prevented the automatic transfer of the required BP folders into the folder of your activated WP theme.

    1. Download a copy of BuddyPress to your computer hard drive – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress/

    2. Unzip, and upload the following folders from the BuddyPress folder to your server’s wp-content/themes/name-of-your-WP-theme via FTP/cpanel/FileManager:
    - activity
    - blogs (if you’re on multisite)
    - forums
    - groups
    - members
    - registration

    3. Proceed with Step 3 of the BP Compatibility Process
