Why did this happen???

  • Just installed and activated the Buddymatic theme and got this error

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare bp_dtheme_ajax_addremove_friend() (previously declared in /home/ordinar5/public_html/coupons/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/_inc/ajax.php:334) in /home/ordinar5/public_html/coupons/wp-content/themes/buddymatic/_inc/ajax.php on line 63

  • It’s Ok, I just solved it by deleting the install on my server.

It could be that the Buddymatic theme you have in your install has not been updated to current BP 1.2.7 version.

Hi thanks. I discovered that themes with the Nav bar along the top with the link to groups gets you to the Create Group site. However, there is still no link to create groups in the Bar along the very top of the page which has all the links and access to your Dashboard etc. You can check http://ordinaryjoe.ca/endthemadness/

Also when using the BP Compatibility Plugin on a standard wordpress site, it says you have to change the html structure of some template files such as blogs/index.php and groups/index.php etc. It is supposed to have this structure..
By default BuddyPress templates use this HTML structure:

    [HEADER]

    [PAGE CONTENT]

    [FOOTER]

If BuddyPress pages are not aligned correctly then you will need to modify some of the templates to match your theme’s HTML structure. The best way to do this is to FTP to your theme’s files at:

    /home/ordinar5/public_html/endthemadness/wp-content/themes/citizen-kane/

Can you advise on how to do this?

    Thanks,
    Don

You don’t need the BP template pack plugin when using Citizen Kane theme. Just deactivate it and delete.

    Thanks both of you.
Can you tell me what would be causing the lettering overlap on my home page
    http://ordinaryjoe.ca/endthemadness/
The titles of my individual pages are showing up in the Nav Bar and then underneath it causing some overlap. Do I need to increase the size (capacity) of the Nav Bar or increase the space for the header?? Can you tell me what to do. Remember, I am a novice.
    Thanks,
    Don
