Hello everybody,

I want to know what exactly does $bp->default_component in the system construction ?
It seems that $bp->default_component only returns “activity” while used in a function placed in a extra field, and that, what ever the page it is called from.

I read here first of course for more details: http://codex.buddypress.org/developer-docs/the-bp-global/
but it’s a bit short and not really pertinent to me.

$bp->default_component is only used for the members component, so when you’re on a member’s profile page, the default component you see, by default, is the user’s activity loop; otherwise, it’s the user’s profile loop.

So it is the name “default _component” who finaly leads me to confusion.
But good to know from now, it’s only useable in member component.
