I will give this a go, my WordPress skills are quite limited but I am learning!!
I am also emailing the themes developers but response has been very slow!!

Thanks again for the reply

I deactivated the Author Bio plugin, but still could not get the edit page link to work ??
I have no other recent plugins ???
Would i need to re-set anything ??
Can you suggest any other thoughts as to where I can look for a fix
Kind Regards
James
Hi @mercime thanks for the speedy reply,
Not changed the theme but have added a “Author bio Plugin” recently actually…
I am running a Multisite install… If this plugin is the problem do you think there may be a way to fix this ???
Where should I be looking??
Cheers

Thanks for the comments,
Only just seen this reply… Just noticed the Lorem ipsum!!!
This was a job i was supposed to do ages ago….Thank You
Still not got a solution to this one ? ? ? ?
Thanks I have now deleted BBPress and it seems to be working properly
Hi Guys,
I am also using Salutation theme for my website http://fitnessblogger.net
although I agree the learning curve is quite steep for this theme… it does have some great features.. and I am slowly making sense of some of them…
The forums were a pain to setup but now we have simplified them and we are only using the group forums for our site it seems to work better?? http://fitnessblogger.net/groups/
This may help with the BuddyBar http://wpmu.org/daily-tip-how-to-disable-the-buddypress-admin-buddy-bar/
There are a few options for spam / splogger protection… we are using WangGuard.. again this takes a little bit of use to understand and get set up but does seem to help us..
Hope this helps a bit.. and happy to chat more if you would like
PS. I am not an expert just learning as I go along
Kind Regards
James

Hi Guys,
Sorry to jump in on this thread…
I really want to change the group default tab to forum..
can you explain where i place the code please in the functions.php file
Also is there anything else i need to do to get this to work??
I am only looking to have public groups so hopefully the above error won’t effect this..
Kind Regards
James
multisite 3.4.2
BP 1.6.1.
http://fitnessblogger.net/group-forums/I have a “social connect” plugin called OneAll social login.
So I guess this would be a good one to test first…
If it turns out to be this plugin what options would I have??
Cheers
James

Hi Thanks for the reply,
I am currently trying out SocialOne Plugin… seems to be working at the moment..
Just to add @mercime I am a real novice to WordPress and BuddyPress so sorry if i dont completely understand!!
Thanks for the reply,
I am using a theme called “Salutation”
I have not created a child theme (Should I do this??) and I did not need to add the template pack as its already set up for BuddyPress.
Should I still copy this file over ??
Cheers
