Great think I got it. I’ll let the theme designer know as well. Thanks for your help!
Ahhh, ok I just tested something.
I’m not using the default buddypress theme. So I activated the default theme and it appears to work, so that is telling me it must be a theme problem.
How do I modify my theme to fix the problem? Is there a piece of code I can paste in?
As I understand the mirror process:
I created a profile field (field type – text box), named it “Twitter” Went into the settings for the plugin and where it says “Mirror Profile Field Title” I copied and pasted the name of the profile field, “Twitter” and saved.
This is what I have done.
I am not using multisite Just buddypress installed on a regular wordpress site.
I am looking to do the same thing but no luck in figuring out how.
Each member having their own blog with it’s own theme seems to fragment the community I’m trying to build.
Basically I would like for members to become “contributors” to the main blog. They are the author of that blog post and get credit for it and their profile will show a list of all posts they’ve made. would also like to be able to use some sort of front end posting.
@enderpal444 you mentioned there is a plugin for this I assume to get it in a users profile?
Links are not working But…
@MrMaz Also having a problem with thumbnail size. They are all tiny. where do I set the size of the images?
I would like to see this as well.
good to hear! Aside from buddypress this is going to be the cornerstone of the next project I work on.
I’m not pulling in facebook updates either. haven’t tried youtube.
Hows the map plugin coming along?
Quick question does your events plugin do everything this does plus events? that may be a better route for me instead of just group and member locations.
and up she goes again.
Still looking for a way to get this working
I’m looking for an answer to this as well.
Anyone have any idea why when I reset the passwords on any of my imported accounts I still cannot login?
Oh this is pretty much exactly what I have been waiting for to move ahead with a project Idea I’ve had. Can’t wait until it is available.
Great Work!
@schwooba, Thanks I’ll check it out. I looked at this and realized it was going to be way out of me league to even try at this point. But this would be a key feature of the site I have in mind.
Well I’m not a coder. But if this is an easy enough project to begin learning on it might be worth a shot. Any tips on where to begin?
Grosbouff,
This is a shot in the dark and I don’t know how difficult this would be, but what I am looking to do is to have individual groups have locations and have the locations of all groups show up on a map, lets say on the front page.
This is to allow people to find groups near them by looking at a map.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Is this going to happen anytime soon? Maybe make the code available to those that have the time to do something with it?
Fingers crossed someone will be able to work on this.
