gPress 0.2 is now live and supports Foursquare.

However, at this stage, it only GETS Foursquare info – later versions will include POST-ing to Foursquare too…

There’s also this new plugin that has just started being developed by one of our guys in his spare time called gPress – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/gpress/ – it’s not BP specific yet, but it will be soon, so worth keeping an eye on…

@johnjamesjacoby just released the BP Foursquare API – http://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-foursquare-api/ – well worth checking out and an excellent starting point for integrating Foursquare with BuddyPress

We’ve used WPGeo before, in the past – http://www.wpgeo.com/ – that’s an excellent WordPress plugin that would also benefit the community immensely if converted into a BuddyPress component of some kind…

@mikepratt Just wanted to say thanks for the BuddyPress presentation you recently aired – it was very inspiring, and we even used it as our own training video prior to our presentation on Geo-Tagging with BuddyPress which we presented at WordCamp Malaysia last month:

Yeah lah – we noticed lots of these messages from people claiming other people are gorgeous, such as you have here. Not that we’re saying you’re not gorgeous, but seriously, what’s being done about it…? On a self-hosted BuddyPress, you can at least delete activity from your own stream, but it seems that cannot be done here.

Also, we noticed that when clicking on ”VIEW” for the permalink of someone’s update, we simply get re-directed to the general community stream, rather than the individual thread / permalink.
Is this a known bug, or a setting that has been turned-off on purpose for this site…?

Wondering how to make status updates?
Do we simply post an update, and that’s a status update, or is there somewhere specific we can add ”status updates”…?
Also, is it our imagination, or are we unable to edit our own Group Avatars…?
