In reply to: Display replies on forumsthis code used to work in older versions of BP – http://teleogistic.net/2011/03/redirect-buddypress-activity-reply-links-to-forums-leave-a-reply/
I haven’t tried it in 1.5.2 yet.
let me know how you get on.
+1 on this – it is very frustrating part of the system.
In reply to: Buddypress and SEO1. google doesn’t know the pages are there because you haven’t told them (by linking to them)
2. even if they do get there, you’re telling them the page really belongs elsewhere…In reply to: Buddypress and SEOfuther, checkout the source of http://avatarthelastairbenderonline.com/groups/roleplaying-avatar-the-last-airbender/forum/

In reply to: Buddypress and SEO@jordash – um, where is your navigation pointing to your BP install?
In reply to: Buddypress and SEO@jordash – Hi, in your post, you say BP pages are not getting indexed, but “topics” ARE getting indexed….
Is this a typo?
In reply to: Forum Reply Disconnectedagreed. this would be great if it worked like that… how many replies and comments get lost?
In reply to: How to Echo the page number in the page title?thanks i tired that, but when i place the following as my title:
<code><title><?php wp_title( ‘|’, true, ‘right’ ); bloginfo( ‘name’ ); ?> <?php bp_groups_pagination_count() ?></title></code>
i get this output:
<title> News and Updates Forum Viewing group 1 to 0 (of groups)</title>
It should say:
<title> News and Updates Forum Page 12</title>
In reply to: Buddypress is not SEO friendlyit has nothing to do with privacy, it is about not getting duplicate content indexed.
It’s true, the default install of BP is SEO suicide. You need to craft your robots.txt file as well as use seopress.
One feature that seems to be lacking is the display of page numbers in meta title and desc on paginated pages.
Still trying to sort that one.
In reply to: Buddypress and SEOpm me your url, I’ll take a look client side.
In reply to: How to Echo the page number in the page title?Bumping this as it got buried very quickly… anyone know how to do this?
It should be a simple thing I’m sure, but how?
In reply to: @mentions – removeing the @ ?In reply to: @mentions – removeing the @ ?Hi Paul,
I think that for most (of my) users, they wouldn’t know what an @mention is, or that they could @mention someone.
Making it as “simple” as creating the mention when the users name was typed would be so much better.
I have no doubt that it isn’t a small task, but I think it would be a very worthy one.
In reply to: New Support Topic Just Disappeared?nah…. there a some serious gremlins in this build on bp.org…. a ton of stuff is broken.
In reply to: Can’t use many features on buddypress.orgditto… there are heaps of issues on this site still…. I thought it was just me.
