Activation email not been received

    Hi

    WP Ver 3.8.1
    BuddyPress Ver 1.9.2
    website link

    When I register on the site , I am told an activation email has been sent but never receive it, I have tried this with many email address. I have disabled all plugins still I do not receive the activation email. I have switched to default theme and still no email received, however one did come through after about 24 hrs ( not good ) and when I clicked on the link I get taken to activate page but get the error Invalid activation key(see attached), copying the key from the url does not work either.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    @fuzzielogix Have you checked if registration works if BP is deactivated? If it still doesn’t work, then you need to resolve the issue with your hosting. It registration works with BP deactivated, then check out how to resolve the issue in the email section at https://codex.buddypress.org/legacy/faq/

    Could well be a problem with your host. I’d contact them to see if their mail server is working as it should be.

    Yes I have and mails still not coming through .


    @henrywright     Hi Henry , I was in touch with them regarding the Mail Q or if there was a current issue with server – still awaiting a response…

    I am receiving mails from other sources i.e mail clients , gmail etc to the mail address, so still unsure whether it’s a wordpress/buddypress issue or server side issue ….

    well I couldn’t wait for my hosting , I’m not the most Patience ;-). @mercime took your advice and installed WP Mail SMTP Plugin, and with some changing of ports all seems to be ok now ( fingers crossed )
