Akismet configured but not working

    I have a multisite running on WP 3.5.1 with a subdomain install running BP 1.6.4

    http://cafe.mgx.com/blogs/]

    Akismet is configured on both sites but is not stopping SPAM on the BP site – I have tried using separate API keys or the same key on both sites but Akismet works on the main site but is not trapping spam on the subdomain

    Do I need to define something in wp-config perhaps?

    akismet integration for BP activity is still a bit hit and miss in my experience at least.

    It does seem as if some sites are able to make it work. Since I just migrated to a dedicated server I have occasionally had to reset permissions to enable read write functions and I wonder if this might be part of the problem in some way

    it works fine for me but it doesn’t catch all spam i think it’s still learning how to tell whats spam or not when it comes to activity. it’s not perfect for comments either but probably catches about 99% or so. i’d say the number with activity spam is still probably under 50% at least as far as i can tell.

    I would be delighted with 50%, right now I am at 0%
