After installation and try to see the photos there is such information:

The page you are looking for either does not exist, or you do not have the permissions to access it.

Do you have an idea how to install?

    Yours,

    Marcin

This could be caused by another plugin being improperly installed. Do you have any plugins besides BuddyPress and bppicture-album installed and activated? If so, what are they.

I have installed: ajaxContact, bpGroups – BuddyPress Plugin, Event Calendar, Event Calendar Widget, Lightbox Gallery and NextGEN Gallery.

Pls try by moving album folder to your member theme folder

First of all, you still may have an issue with the bppicture-album plugin being improperly installed. The readme.txt file has an error in its “Theme” section. It states that:

    Move the "/wp-content/plugins/bp-album/album/" directory
    to "/wp-content/bp-themes/bpmember/"

"album" directory should be at the same level as "/wp-content/bpmember/groups"
    and "/wp-content/bpmember/profile" etc...

You need to do this instead:

Keep /bp-album/ within the bppicture-album directory.
What you need to relocate is the album directory.

So, you move the "album" directory out of /bppicture-album/ and
    place it into /wp-contents/bp-themes/bpmember/.

Make sure you have done that. If you have done this properly and are getting this message, then you will have to go through the process of deactivating all the other plugins (except BuddyPress), then reactivating them one at a time until you see the problem occur.

Haha! Manoj beat me to it!

Manoj, I just looked at your readme.txt file and see that there could be some confusion. See my post above.

Thanks to @jeffsayre for pointing this out. I miss so much when my head is down!

@burtadsit – I know you component is very focused on tagging content. Could yours be used to help Manoj allow for the use of “user tagging” which could go a long way in communities (such as our Alumni site) where there will be many pictures with multiple members submitted and then tagged by users (a la Facebook). Of course topical tagging would be useful as well.

SWA could read ” Burt Adsit was tagged in a Photo” etc

@Mike, Manoj and I are working on that. I did a little integration demo for him enabling tags in his plugin. He’s got a pre-release version of bpc alpha 3 to see how it’s done. Doesn’t take much really. I have to finish alpha 3. It’s got new features like hierarchical categories.

Not sure what ‘user tagging’ is at all Mike.

Hi thanks for a great plugin. I installed it on chatzooky.com without any problems apart from the small Album icon which for some reason doesent show up. I have checked wp-content/plugins/bp-album/images/album-wire.png and the pic is in the folder.

Does any one know how to fix this please or what code to change to get the url of the image to point to the correct address

@Burt – User tagging, as I see it, is exactly like Facebook’s User tagging: 1. user uploads photo 2. anyone with viewing rights on photo can hover over photo and see a square around something id’d as a person 3. you are then presented with a list of your friends to “tag” that user in the photo.

It’s viral. People upload their own photos and tag themselves and friends & family. That links and notifies all those members they were “tagged” in a photo. Others view the photo, perhaps recognize themselves or someone and then do some tagging as well (presuming the image tagging isn’t complete.

While I think FB uses some recognition technology to determine how many humans are in the photo but it ends there. You would really only need the ability to mark a section of the image so pics with multiple persons would be identifiable.

    I hope this clarifies.

Maybe Upload photos to Facebook using a Java-based desktop application, including tagging photos before you upload. code could shed some light on tagging?

Hi, kudos on the plugin, very promising so far…anyone know if it would be possible to upload a file (so far only jpg, png…I know) and show a link to it in the album, instead of a photo? Something like a pdf maybe?

What i do notice with this and would be nice to have is that if user add a picture it is not reflected on the main page ‘Site wide activity’!

Would be nice to it know on main page when new images posted.
