I have a member that would like to add our header bar the one with all our profile options to their existing self hosted word press.

Is this possible can I allow him to have the code to add that header bar?

If so what is the code?

What BuddyPress version are you one? Which theme are you using? In other words https://buddypress.org/forums/topic/when-asking-for-support

I just need the code for the top menu bar….. so members outside blogging on self hosted blogs can also add it to their website.

I’m using the latest version of buddy press.

Are you referring to the buddypress admin bar like the one you find at the very top of this page with grey background that you want the members to add to their self-hosted sites? “My Account” “Notifications” etc.

You would need a custom plugin possibly with preconfigured authorization so they don’t need to log in to your site when they click on link in buddypress admin bar in their site.

ok so currently it’s not an option to have that bar on other blogs outside of our website?

Thanks for the help by the way

I found the posts where Boone Gorges has set up such admin bar in other installations – here and here – same post but check out the comments area for some hints which could make it work for you. He noted “theoretically this method could work for any kind of software out there.” Good luck.
