    @bookee the reason why the instructions for the wisdom of life doesn’t work for your theme is because the themes have different HTML structure. Unlike the other theme where only 2 files are required to make the changes, your theme requires changes in 17 BP template files. Come BP 1.7 however, you would be removing those template files.

    An alternative is to upgrade to BP 1.7 beta 1, deactivate BP template pack plugin and delete the 6 BP folders transferred to your theme folder in server. The BP template files will automagically show up in your pages. The caveat is that most BP plugins have not been updated for BP 1.7

    Given the two options above, what’s your preference?

    Thanks mercime! I believe that version 1.7 beta will get me closer to a resolution.

    That seems to have fixed the alignment problem. Now, one more question if  I may. How do I include a BP login in the top menu of my theme and a BP login form in my sidebar as a widget?

    Again, thanks!

    @bookee for the login form, just copy the code (lines 8 to 59) in sidebar.php from the BP Default theme to your theme’s sidebar.

    As for BP login in the top menu of your theme, not quite sure what you mean by that. Custom menu? In appearance > menus, add a link http://yoursite.com/wp-login.php to the custom menu.

    @mercime, again thanks for the quick reply. I copied the following lines of code to my theme’s sidebar.php (very bottom of the page), but nothing happens meaning the login form doesn’t show on the sidebar.  Is there a specific location in the sidebar.php file to add it?

    What i meant by top menu login option is having a member login menu that would take the registered users to a login form similar to the form on the sidebar. Hope that makes sense.  Below is the code i copied to my theme’s sidebar:

    [EDIT – please use pastebin.com to post long blocks of code. ~~ Mercime]

    Thanks!

    @bookee
    you can create a page template with only the login form code you copied then go to Pages > Add New, add Page Title e.g. Join Us, then use the page template with the login form you created. Or, you might want to try out pcwriter’s tutorial http://wpmu.org/how-to-build-a-facebook-style-members-only-wordpress-buddypress-site/
