Ok. bit of a long one….

I decided to change from group forums to sitewide.

What I am trying to do.

I’m trying to get rid of group forums. it’s too heavy for my users.
I just want to use BBpress sitewide forums.
I may re enable groups at some point but I don’t want to use the group forums.

Things I have done…

1, installed bbpress
2, disabled group forums. I had to rename my bb.config.php to bbconfig.old to do this.
3, setup a forums page with [bbp-forum-index]
4, created a test category containing a test forum.

The problem.

I can’t post in the test forum from my web page and if I create a topic from the WP back end it shows in the forums directory but not when I enter the test forum.

Please help. I think I’m losing my hair, mind, hours of my life and the will to live.

Have you tried to change bp-default theme?

Bpd/theme compat issues shouldn’t affect bbPress 2 at all. Maybe go on the bbPress.org forums and see if there are similar problems reported.
