"Create a Page" functionality in BuddyPress?

Can members create a page in buddy press for their company, band, business, product, artist, or cause?

I am looking for something that can let people create pages just like facebook.

Is it possible in buddypress?

Or

Is there a plugin that can do it?

PS: If it is not possible currently, can it be added in future release of BuddyPress?

@rickkumar you can post an enhancement request in BuddyPress Trac. Heard that @sbrajesh is coming out with a BP Pages plugin sometime this month or next.

As suggested, I have created the enhancement requests in BP track.

Btw, any idea when Brajesh is coming out with pages plugin?

Why do so many people want BP to be a farcebook clone 🙁

I suppose it’s because Facebook, in many ways, does things right. I’m not on board with having a FB copy by any means, but some of their features are nice. Though I think many of those features should be left to plugins rather than being in core.

I never said I want BP to be a facebook clone.
I love BP.

I strongly feel that BP lacks depth in this functionality.
It is not useful at all. Facebook does it right.
A social network software should be able to do it right.

That’s the only reason I mentioned facebook.

I hope you give this issue another consideration and help make BP more useful.
