    @yairnazz

    Hello, i am trying to figure out how i can edit the user bar that holds the login menu and search area

    I have tried editing the header.php but nothing seams to happen unless i change the css of the login class.

    A few things i am trying to do:

    Change the format of the input fields for the search engine and login form (ex. <input style=”background-color:black; border: 1p…..”…)

    Extend the bar to 100% width like on buddypress.org

    A few things i found in the header were <?php bp_search_form() ?> & <?php bp_login_bar() ?> but i dont know where to access them.

    Thanks in advance for any help on how to edit this user bar (Not the buddy press bar that is gray)

    Thanks for replying but that is not what i mean as i said in my original post “im not talking about that gray bar that originally says buddypress in the left corner and is gray”. im talking about the orange bar right under it in the original buddypress theme. Some more advice would be helpful, thank you!

    Yep. I saw that and was correcting my mistake while you were posting!

    The point is to use a bp-custom.php file to make your alterations. The actual code for those two functions you reference is found in bp-core-templatetags.php
