HELP! Buddypress/Pagelines Platform pages not aligned

  • Ok, I’ve been reading up on this issue for hours and I still can’t figure it out. i’m using Pagelines platform free theme. I’ve installed and activated buddypress and buddypress template pack and the installations went fine. Using BP compatibility i’ve gotten the activity/group/member pages working but the pages have the buddypress content all the way across the page and the sidebar pushed down below the buddypress content. The instructions in step 3 of BP compatibility seem odd considering the page.php and index.php files in the platform theme (free version, not pro).

    So, step 3 says to “Open up the page.php file (if this does not exist, use index.php). Make note of the HTML template structure of the file, specifically the

    tags that surround the content and sidebar. You will need to change the HTML structure in the BuddyPress templates that you copied into your theme to match the structure in your page.php or index.php file.”

    Both my page.php and index.php have the following in it, “

    <?php
    /*
    This theme is Copyright (C) 2008-2010 Andrew Powers, PageLines.com (andrew AT pagelines DOT com)

    Licensed under the terms of GPL.

    */

    setup_pagelines_template();

    So, I’ve looked for setup_pagelines_template file somewhere but cannot find it. I have no idea what to do next. I’m not a programmer so this is a tough thing to fix for me. I understand pixels and sizes and css generally but there are so many interlinked templates here it is difficult for a person with my lack of programming skill to fix.

    Please Help!
