Installing WordPress, BuddyPress locally using WAMP

    Hi everybody! I have installed WordPress latest version locally using WAMP package to try out many options. It works fine if the Permalinks are chosen the default option. I have installed some plugins (including buddypress) that require Permalinks to be changed from the default option to some other. But I am getting a 404 Error page if I change permalinks. So I have rolled back it. Please advise me how to rectify this issue locally.
