Just installed and it won’t let me do settings

I get this message when I click settings
“You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

After you activated BuddyPress, did you go through the BP Installation Wizard? https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/setting-up-a-new-installation/installation-wizard/

I just installed also and I’m having the same problem. I went through the installation wizard. Installed several different Buddypress themes and cannot customize or even access most of the components. Installed a buddypress toolbar. Same problem.

i had the same problem and it was solved by installing BuddyPress Template Pack plugin
