Left sidebar not visible

I am currently using WordPress, not the latest 3.5 but the one before that. And Buddypress version 1.6.2. The theme Im using is Custom Community

For some reason, my left side menu bar is not showing up on the site. I have added a few widgets to it from my dashboard, but nothing shows up on the front end.
Is this an issue with the theme, or am I doing something wrong?

I am just making the site for a project, and am NOT learned in coding at all.

My site is http://ibahub.eu5.org/ and is still being worked on. However, I need to submit my project soon, and really need help with this.

Helping with homework is generally frowned upon on coding forums 😉 even more so when it’s a case that “it has to be handed in soon“
