Male profiles should be invisible, but how?

I’m using WordPress/BuddyPress for my International Marriage Agency website where American men can view profiles of Russian women for marriage. I want the men to register but their profiles should be invisible to everybody except themselves and the admin. Only women’s profiles should be visible. How can I do this? How can I have the default ‘Subscriber’ role have those member profiles be invisible and the women’s profiles changed to a different role where their profiles would be visible. Thank you.
