Probably mentioned before – inactive/blocked roles not working?

    Whenever I assign someone as inactive/blocked, they can still do the same things as if they weren’t!

    Also, possibly unrelated to buddpress, does anyone know how to make it so that a comment has to be approved by an admin before going live?

    Those roles are added by bbPress 1.0. BuddyPress doesn’t use them.

    There’s a setting for exactly that in Settings > Discussion in wp-admin
