Hello,

I’m dying to get this twitter to wire plugin to work! I’ve tried everything and i’m now trying to edit the plugin to get it to work but I’m not that good at PHP.

I’ve managed to write my own little PHP file to pull the twitter updates out of the DB using a Twitter Tools function. This works but it isn’t really neat.

The greatest thing would be if a user posts a message to twitter, the message would also show up on the users wire. (For ex. using Twitter Tools or a native function.

Could anybody write this or give me a hand on this? I personally think there’s a lot of request for a plugin like this.

I haven’t been able to get it working either. It saves tweets to the db, but doesn’t show on my wire. I’m at a loss.

Yep, i’ve tried to write my own plugin based on the Twitter2Wire plugin but I failed

this used to work but stopped working since rc1 where wponce security was added, the plugin needs to be updated, i have this installed and still have posts on my wire from it

i guess its just a matter of contacting the author and asking them to update the plugin

My site is a Twitter site so I tried to get this plug in to work as well. I just opted for a custom profile field that use the twitter html widget code. So when you go to a profile it pulls in latest tweets.

I tried to reply to David Aubin’s blog post about this plugin but his captcha fails and won’t let me post anything. I don’t have an e-mail address either, so if anyone sort of knows this guy… Please let us know.

Hi,

Wow, I had no idea!!! I don’t use it much. I just happened to see twitterToWire on buddypress yesterday. Sorry about not getting to contact me too. I’ll fix that asap.

Now in the meantime. I have good news. I fixed why it failed to post to the wire. I also took out the need to have twitterTools and I now talk directly to twitter. Lastly, I think I can get a wire to twitter to work as well. So does anybody want this ability? Do you want me to show just the last post, last 20? How do you want it to work?

@hyrxx the latest version on his site still doesn’t allow the plugin to work with other users besides admin. im using trunk 1335, which is supposed to be compatible. im really excited for this plugin and the plugin writer dave said he is going to wait until there is another release (ie RC2). Not sure when that will be but I’d love some help in the meantime from someone if they knew what was happening.
