I have recently started using buddypress with wordpress 3.0.1 . I have installed it and also been able to get the feature I want incorporated.
However I have noticed an issue with buddypress. That it’s not very intuitive to the end user. When a user registers, it takes them to upload avatar page, which is great, however, as soon as user uploads avatar. It does nothing interesting or intuitive.
In my opinion the after the avatar is uploaded it should give a good notification to the user to say that “You need to activate your account” or redirect them somewhere.
Also the user is hanging on the upload picture page.
I am wondering is there any plug in or hack that will let user know that their account needs to be verified is they try to log in without verification.?
Also is it possible to redirect the user to some page after registration.
Any help would be appreciated. I have Drupal CMS as my background, but need wordpress & buddypress for a friends site.
