How to recreate the admin bar

    Hi there.

I want to recreate the buddypress admin bar into my site and integrate it with the rest of the design instead to have that black bar above all.

In particular I just need to create the “My Account” drop down menu and the “Notification” menu with working notification alert (number)…

Any how to? I just need to know wich functions / template tag to call, I’ll create the css on my own, no probs..

    The website is:

    http://leganerd.com

I want to put the My Account and Notification on the top gray bar and disable the black admin bar.

    thanks!

Start browsing through the bp-default theme and find the php file that generates the adminbar. Copy the code from there to where ever you want it.

mmmh are you sure that it’s defined in the theme? I can’t find any reference in the header.php or similar.. do you know where it’s defined exactly please?

    thank you very much :)

Nevermind, just found it.. It’s not in the default theme, is in the BP-Core folder, named bp-core-adminbar.php

    thanks ;)

Sorry, I didn’t have access to my install at the time – I thought it was part of the footer in the bp-default. Glad you found it though.

Il tuo sitio mi sembra bravissimo !!! Auguri.
