Members capability to update their post – Error

    Hi;

    I’m using the last versión of buddypress and wordpress and I have this problem:

    I want the registered users can publish and edit their own posts in the main loop of the wordpress theme. The registered users can publish posts (their default role is Author) but they CAN’T update it later!?, wp display “Uh… No.” error page.

    When disable buddypress this works fine. What could I do to make it work?

    The AUthor role should be able to update posts whether BP is activated or not. More info on about the user/Author would be good.
    – Did such user/Author register in your site and you promoted the registered user’s role to Author
    – OR Did you add the user directly from wp-admin and set role to Author?

    Do you have a single WP install with multi-user authors or are you on a multisite installation with that user added as Author to a site?

    Thank for your reply.

    I tried to register a new user by fronend but Im having problems with that, no email has been sent. I tried using Budypress Pending Activations, and try to go to settings of te plugin and say I have no privileges to access the page (as admin¿?). ok…, I registeres a new one in the dashboard: the same problem updating a post.

    The users exists before I upgraded buddypres (1.5 to 1.6), and If I promote the user as admin he can do it, but not as Editor or Author.

    The author role is set by default to registeres users.

    Probably the problem to send the activation email is apart of the other problem…

    ok, I solve the email sending issue, nothing related with the problem I have with user updating his own posts…, please some help to debug that problem…
