Forum Component Not Set Up

Hello. I just downloaded BuddyPress a couple hours ago, and I am fighting with it. When I go to the home page of my website it says “The forums component has not been set up yet.” I tried creating a test forum, and I can get to the forum via the “View Forum” link in the admin area. When I go to the place which my forum should be on my website, it’s just a blank page. Can I get some help on this?

Go to Settings > BuddyPress > Components and uncheck Discussion Forums. Read this https://codex.buddypress.org/user/setting-up-a-new-installation/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/
