Reverse adminbar issue

    I have the reverse of what the adminbar posts are usually about. The adminbar shows fine on the main site, but when one delves into user blogs., e.g. http://site.com/username, the bar disappears. Makes no difference what theme is being used either on the main or user site.

    What could be causing that, and how might I fix it?
