Redirecting home page to profile

Hi Everyone,
I am currently using BP Redirect to Profile for Buddypress which is working great, however I came across a problem I always want it to go to the profile once the user is logged in. That plugin works great, however if the user is loggedin and say opens the site in a new tab it will go to the users posts not the profile. So if a loggedin user opens the site in a new tab it goes localhost/testsite instead of going to localhost/testsite/members/user. Can anyone help me with this. I am using buddypress 1.7.1.

@jddeisel You mean you’re using BP 1.7 beta 1 or RC 1, right? I suggest following up at plugin dev’s site re when plugin will be updated … probably when BP 1.7 stable version rolls out. http://buddydev.com/buddypress/bp-redirect-to-profile-plugin-redirect-users-to-their-profile-on-login-on-buddypress-sites/

That plugin hasn’t been updated in two years. So I doubt it will be updated. Thanks though.

Just because it hasn’t been update in two years doesn’t mean the plugin will fail to perform. Its up to you to test it on a local environment to see if it fails. Redirection is pretty simple so I would guestimate this plugin would still perform its function.

I have tried the plugin and it didn’t work the only plugin that would perform the redirection is the plugin that I have BP Redirect to Profile for Buddypress work great except for that one case.
