I’ve released a meta-plugin for handling plugin dependencies in WordPress. Thought you’d be interested in it, since, by definition, all BuddyPress plugins are dependant on BuddyPress.

To make it work, you just need to add this line to your plugin’s header:

Dependencies: buddypress/bp-loader.php

If a user doesn’t have the Plugin Dependencies plugin installed, that line will simply be ignored, so no harm done.
