bbpress vs buddypress group forums

    Hello,
    I’m trying to understand the difference between these two things and which I really want. I have a lot of groups and the group forums are ok but I’m missing some features such as nested replies. And I see plugins for this that work with Bbpress.

    What is the recommended way to set things up?

    I don’t want sitewide forums by the way. I want the forums content to be separated like I have it in my groups.

    the original group based forums have been depreciated now what happens is each group is it’s own forum/topic in the regular site wide forums which are connected vis the forum tab in the groups page.
