Help with inserting photo’s into activity feed

I’m still learning the dynamics of BuddyPress, but love it so far… I’m looking for a plugin that will allow users to insert images via the activity stream… You can see how I have it set up so far (alienjackhammer.com).
Maybe I’m just not understanding the overall picture; but I want my users to have the ability to simply respond to any activity in the stream and insert a picture. I’ve Googled my butt off and checked the plugins until my fingers bleed.

Savannah… Thank you a lot for your feedback! I’m currently using BP Album; which is great for photo-like albums (a la Facebook)…. However, if you can look at the screenshot below… Where it says: “Whats new search66?” … where it allows you ‘post update’ to a group/area…. I’m looking for a way to be able for a user to comment right there, and have the ability to insert an image… Am I way off?
