Buddy press set up

    I have installed and activated Buddy Press vs. 1.8.1. I have WordPress vs 3.6 installed.
    I have done nothing fancy in settings
    All items in components are checked.
    Pages are default
    Settings are all checked.

    I cannot seem to invite friends, i.e, there is not button with which to reach out.
    Simple problem; do you have an answer?
