Installing Buddypress

After downloading and installing the latest version of the plugin, once I activate it, it shows a white screen on my dashboard, and cannot accesss anything unless I erase the plugin through the FTP server.
I’m currently using version 3.0.1 in spanish hosted by hostmonster, WP is intalled on the root of the site.
I have afew plugins running and if deactivated the problem keeps presenting.
My current theme is supported by buddypress & I’ve intalled the template pack in order to resolve this matter.

If your current theme already supports buddypress, you DO NOT NEED the template pack.

that plugin is *only* used if your theme does *not* have BP support. Likely that’s why you’re getting errors.
