On the members directory you should see a button to the right of that member that says “Remove Friend!” If you are not friends already it would read “Add Friend.”
I don’t, though 🙁 Do you know how I can add it? Thanks for all your help on my other posts, btw! You’re awesome

You would not see the button on your own members directory listing. Have you tried creating a test user and logging in to see if the button is there? I am for hire if you need help and you can contact me here if you have a budget to work with.
