BuddyPress.org

I’ve read multiple threads all saying different things in order to turn off default BP registration. Is it possible to just include a checkbox in BP Settings that would turn off BP registration allowing us to use a different plugin?

I’ve tried functions.php, bp-config.php with
remove_action( ‘init’, ‘bp_core_wpsignup_redirect’ );
remove_action( ‘wp’, ‘bp_core_wpsignup_redirect’ );
remove_action( ‘wp’, ‘bp_core_screen_signup’, 3 )

And nothing seems to work. Just a simple checkbox at Setting|BuddyPress|Settings would work wonders!
