[Resolved] Disable Buddypress to do certain things

Since the WordPress 3.9 and Buddypress 2,0, I have to disable the Buddypress plugin to upload media, place links on pages, access themes, and place/modify widgets. Everything works on the Buddypress stream including uploading pictures but the rest of the blog is affected when the plugin is activated. I changed themes (after disabling Buddypress) and same problems. Also portfolio slideshow does not work when Buddypress is activated. Any ideas?

@ksample What theme were you using? Change theme to one WP Default themes like Twenty Fourteen/Thirteen/etc. to check if issue is resolved. If not, deactivate plugins other than BuddyPress to check which plugin is causing the media upload conflict.

Thanks for the advice. I disabled the “buddypress like” plugin and that fixed it I think. I can live without the like buttons.

@ksample Thanks for posting back about the plugin conflict. If you like the plugin might I suggest informing the developer about the issue so he can update it https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/buddypress-like

    Marking this as resolved.
