Avatar Cropping Page won’t load site images

Hello, I have a wordpress installation of 3.04, buddypress 1.2.7.

When I upload a avatar anywhere on the site, it crops and uploads fine, but it seems the images won’t load.

The background image, header, or any other image that is supposed to be there, shows question mark, or is simply not there.

Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

Deactivate BuddyPress and BP-dependent plugins. See if your media upload works in the first place. Before installing BuddyPress – https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/before-installing/#wp-configuration re media uploading

Is your install multisite? If so, post content of your .htaccess file
