Fatal Error while installing compatible BP themes to WP

    I just installed Buddy Press through Blue Host. I was experimenting with the basic theme. Things seem to work well. Then I have tried install other Buddy Press themes and every time I go to activate it in WP, I get this error message:

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare bp_dtheme_ajax_querystring() (previously declared in /home1/laozenco/public_html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/_inc/ajax.php:20) in /home1/laozenco/public_html/wp-content/themes/custom-community/_inc/ajax.php on line 63

    I have deleted Buddy Press and uploaded it again several times. I have no clue what to do here. Please let me know if you can help

    Hi Modem.. sorry about posting the same topic twice. I am new to this and didn’t know the proper process. My apologies.

    Yes, I am using the template pack. I used Bluehost to install BP and it came with the template pack.

    Looks like he’s using the Custom Community BP Theme by @svenl77 per problem in “/home1/laozenco/public_html/wp-content/themes/custom-community/_inc/ajax.php “

    Edit- didn’t type fast enough. But if you’re using Custom Community theme, you don’t need to install BP template pack. Use BP Template Pack only when you choose a WP Theme. Deactivate BP Template Pack if you’re going to use a BuddyPress-compatible theme already.

    Thanks guys. I did what you said and it is working out now. I am now testing the functionality. Hope it is as easy as it looks so far. I really appreciate the help. Thanks
