missing nav-bar

So the gray bar at the top, i believe its called the nav-bar, is only showing up for my admin profile while in the dashboard, other then that its nowhere for anyone else. id like to use it as my menu for every subscriber. i have several plugins installed, but none that have to do with that that i can tell and if i did i got rid of them, so why might my nav-bar not be activated for my subscribers or myself when not in the dashboard?

    thanks

The bar you see at the top of the screen at e.g. http://testbp.org/ and this site is the BuddyPress Admin Bar. Did you disable it from logged out users in dashboard > BuddyPress menu ?

yes, that is the bar, and “no” is checked for hide admin bar for logged out users. Would yes change that?

….anyone? i feel like this is a simple fix to someone more knowledgeable and experienced with buddypress

Not necessarily an easy fix with so little info to go on. Default is to show the adminbar all the time so setting ‘yes’ to hide it for logged out users isn’t going to change things for logged in users.

Usual questions must be asked now: Are you running a custom theme? If so then can you revert to bp-default and see how that performs.

so when i reverted back it was very sloppy, as expected, it seems the menu is there, but vertical and kind of in the middle of the screen. This suggests that its something in facelook blocking the menu from showing that i need to find and fix correct?

ok so ive started playing with the css file that has control over the admin bar for facelook, so far ive tried copying the admin bar code out of the default buddypress theme(where it looks fine) and replaced the admin bar code in facelook with it.

that equals blue text and a vertical menu off the to the far right, not in the right position or the right look. ideas anyone? thanks.
