Display one activity post by ID

Hi,
I would like to change how the single activity page works. Instead of having a separate page (permalink.php) I would like to display it on the top of the normal activity stream page.
How can i get one activity post, with a given ID?

Thanks for the answer.
That seems overkill to me.
I need basicly only one function, something like this:

DisplayActivity( acivity_id );

It should put out one single activity item. Isn’t there something like this?
