Hi

I want the possibility to tag / mention people in a post.
In a way that the get an email (to the address that is linked to there wordpress user account).

I am not a techy
I have the latest version of wordpress, theme 2012, bbpress, buddpress and mentions installed.
If i create a post in a forum
I can use @<username>
I see a list, I can select a person.

And then it stays quite ;-(
The user that I tag thusnt receive a message.

I am struggling with this problem for over a year.
Is there some who can help me
