Search with BP Profile Search – Results First and Last name

Hello,
I searched a lot and can find a satisfying answer. So I thought I ask here:
I have installe Buddypress and BP Profile Search. It works great and smooth – no complainments here. But the search results show sometimes the first and last name (as I want to have it) and someties just the Email-adrress. I changed the users manually, so that the nickname and also the public name are “Firts name Last name”. Then it works normally. But after a while it changes itself back and shows the Email-Adress as nickname. And the users are not new and also don’t change anything. How can that be. Is there somewhere a setting I have missed?
