BuddyPress.org

I am really confused on a couple issues with BuddyPress and bbPress. Just to note, we had WPMU install BuddyPress, MultSite, and bbPress for us at PSek, so everything should be installed correctly.

On my admin menu, under the “My Sites” menu option, I have two submenu options which are “Network Admin” and name of my main site.

I select the “Network Admin” option. I then see “BuddyPress” in the left navigation. I select “BuddyPress” and then “Forums”. I see that “Forums for Groups” is already installed and an option to install “Site Wide Forums”.

First question… There is a button that says “Install Site Wide Forums”, but when I click on the button a box is displayed that states “Latest Version Installed”. So is site wide forums installed or is this a bug? How do I uninstall site wide forums?

Second question and a big part of my confusion… I select the menu option for my main site from the admin bar. I cannot find any reference to bbPress or forums anywhere in the left navigation or under settings. If site wide forums was setup in “Network Admin” shouldn’t I see in the left navigation of my main site somewhere to create forums?

I thought site wide forums would allow my main site to have forums, is this assumption incorrect? Do I need to install bbPress on my main site? If so, what is “Site Wide Forums”?

I really need someone to clarify all this for me.
