Fix Buddypress’ unassociated pages, break the rest of the forums?

    @cassiebearuh

    So here I am, derping around, admin’ing the WordPress board I volunteer for, and I see this message at the top of the screen on Dashboard:

    The following active BuddyPress Components do not have associated WordPress Pages: Discussion Forums. [REPAIR]

    What do I do? Repair it!

    Well, it works for half a day, and everything’s fine.

    Next day I log in to find all the forum posts ‘missing’. The topics are still there on the Dashboard, but completely gone from outside Dashboard.

    Oh crap! Revert any changes I made! So now the topics show up outside dashboard, but the links don’t go anywhere.

    Clicking a topic link goes to the link, but it loads up a blank page. I’ll also be posting this on the WordPress support forums.

    I’ve already google’d the problem. All the plugins I’m using, including Buddypress, are updated and running fine.

    I guess my real question is how I can magic all the posts and forum topics back to where they were before I screwed it up. I have a feeling they’re still somewhere in connection to the forums, but I have no idea where. If anyone has any help, I’d greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks very much,
    Cassie
