How Does a person Update all their Buddypress specific plugins to work with themes?

  • I have just created a buddypresswordpress theme from scratch.. Not exactly experienced at that task from start to finish, but i feel good about it so far!

Anyway, everything works pretty well, and ive gotten the theme to work OK with most of buddypress.

Except plugins. Their pages are not loading the ‘wordpress theme’ in the same way the main buddypress pages are,and I am having trouble getting them to work correct.

Am I missing something easy, or do I have to conditionally detect the group plugin sub-pages and replace add code then? I am currently mucking with BP_BEFORE_GROUP_HEADER, but i feel at this moment “isnt there a better way?”

    Thanks for any advice!

@fuzylogiq Some BP plugins have their own template files patterned after the bp-default theme. Usually you would transfer said plugin template files/folder into your own active theme. Then open up each plugin template file and superimpose the HTML structure of your theme onto each plugin template.
