Hacking the featured groups sidebar?

    I would like to be able to choose what groups are displayed in the featured groups sidebar.

    I now have a big list of groups and i want to define a list of specific groups so users don’t have to search for them.

    Is it possible to hard code the group ID’s in the code that generate the list or is there a plugin / hack to do this?
