Where are the avatars ?

Where are the avatars stored in database ?

The full image and the small image of my avatar are not the same pictures and i did not find any reference to them in the DB.

With BP1.1, avatars are no longer stored in the database; they are rather stored as files on the server in folders based on the slug and ID of the avatar owner.

Check your /blogs.dir/1/avatars/ directory and you’ll see lots of other folders in there.

You can imagine this cuts down on the query count pretty substantially.

Thx jjj, i still know that… What i want to understand is how the system recognize my name and associate the right avatar to it. Where is this information stored ?

I cannot erase my avatar, even from profile interface nor from the server. And i don’t hade sudo access. I can only try something from in the DB i guess.
