Profile Menu has gone AWOL

A while back the profile/admin menus disappeared from the profile pages. I am not a programmer, but I can “read” php to a point. I can’t seem to find what code calls the menu.
What I want to do is actually place the menu under the avatar and add-friend buttons. Could someone please point me in the right direction?
