Buddypress version of wordpress 'mystique' theme?
-
Hello… Can someone make the mystique theme as a BuddyPress theme? I think it is the perfect theme for a Buddypress site. So please, can someone make this to a Buddypress theme?

Ask the original creator if he wants to do it.
Personally I don’t see why this is better than all those other wordpress themes.
Topic renamed to make the purpose clearer and marked the topic as ‘not a support question’.
actually Xevo, each person think that their prefered theme mean to become official and by default… that is by experience… rofl…
you can even see it, Andy decided that his new theme would be the default of 1.2…. rofl
I’m working on this one in particular, but it’s in my free spare time.
Guess the topic starter is in luck.
@ nexia: Haha, agreed. I make my themes myself so never have the urge too use other peoples work.
I can never get the cool designs in my head to work out on the screen. So I’m setting out to bp other themes.
@Andrea_r Can you please make a download link for that ?
@ Andrea: As you can see people want the normal wp themes to be converted to bp themes, so it’s only good that your fulfilling their needs. Besides, we need more bp themes.
@kimstipsen i’ll holler when it’s done. busy week tho.
Hi Andrea_r,
I am too trying to get bp to work with mystique, it looks like you made some excellent progress. Do you need any assistance or is there anything available for download yet?
I really appreciate the help.
Nope, I’ve got it down pat right now. I was working on it again just the other night, as I’ve had to go back & redo all the ones I took screenshots of.
My only dilemma right now is whether to release it as a child theme (of the original WP theme) or a forked theme. Hrm.
I’ve spent the last couple of hours using the compatibilty pack to get everything lined up – by matching the HTML layout.
It was quick and dirty but now it all fits fine and my sidebar is present (although I’d like to remove it from the buddypress specific pages). To be honest I was surprised I got this far!
Problems:
1. How to get the Nav buttons on the bar? or somthing like. Personally I’d like a ‘Socialise’ Button with Mystique drops downs for the buddypress components I use.
2. Forums don’t work. If I load up the default theme they work (although I can’t create a topic) but through Mystique I just get a black white page.
Any thoughts? If I send you my email address any chance I can have a look/ at what you’ve done?
Send me a PM, I’ve been working on this by making a BP child theme for Mystique. I’ve done the hard parts (adding stuff to nav bar) but was just going thru the HTML parts (the grunt work).
We can merge the work.
I’ve been playing with Mystique as a likely candidate for a blog I’m working on, but I’d lo be able to play with BuddyPress without giving it up! So I’ll just add in another voice that’s excited for this development
Has anyone made this BuddyPress-compatible yet?
more or less, you can test it out over on:
http://mystique.bp-theme-converts.comI’ll zip it up if you want tomorrow.
Looks solid, would love to check it out.
please please send me the mystique/buddypress convert….
(david at musicaltheatrepro . com)I would really appreciate it.. it’s perfect for what I do and I really can’t use buddypress in the current state… I don’t know enough about code to fix it! Thank You
Can someone just upload the zip somewhere?
@andrea_r http://mystique.bp-theme-converts.com/downloads/buddypressmystique.zip
It’s not perfect, main problem being the Mystique JS conflicts with the BuddyPress JS so I have disabled Mystique JS on BuddyPress pages.
The problem with this is the Mystique tabbed widget no longer works on BuddyPress pages, so I set to display none on those pages.
If you know of a way to disable the widget on those pages, please let me know.I have tried to use the theme with in the current zip above and all is well except for the activity stream. seems a container is not properly closed as the footer is cramed to the right and stops 1/2 way through the stream the rest of the stream over laps into the background
@anaxent it’s working fine on my test install http://mystique.bp-theme-converts.com/activity/ I did make a few changes before making the zip so I could have left out a closing div maybe?
Do you have an URL I can see?@anaxent spoke too soon, see the issue now, will fix & update the zip.
I also noticed that the custom header background image does not carry across all pages example
http://radicalbastard.com/ – with the custom image
http://radicalbastard.com/members/ – with out it
