Is there a way to automatically add a new registrant to a particular group?

Also, how can I quickly add existing members – as in a checkbox – rather than having to add one at a time and having to know their ids?

Yep – I have it installed but I have students from last year that need to be moved out of one group and have new kids registering that are not getting into the correct ones … so I’m looking for a fast way to get things fixed (organized).

I decided to add “BuddyPress Registration Groups” plugin — but this doesn’t solve most of the issues but it’s a start.

@LPH2005 I find it does the job. If you have a smell or medium community it works well. I’m not sure if a future version will allow you to sort the groups or check sets of groups.

does plugin doesn;t work with the latest version of BP and WP…

that plugin posted by @mercime works a treat for me (BuddyPress Auto Group Join) and I am on the latest versions of WP and BP
